Marquette Student McCain Supporter Assaulted Near Campus

From the Marquette Tribune:
A 19-year-old male not affiliated with Marquette pulled a gun on four Marquette students during a physical altercation early Sunday morning, according to the Department of Public Safety.

The wrangle started outside of Murphy’s Irish Pub, 1615 W. Wells St., around 2 a.m. when a 21-year-old male Marquette student was struck in the face while holding a “McCain Palin” campaign sign and yelling to vote for John McCain in the upcoming presidential election. The student said he was blindsided when a group of three individuals approached him, though he is not sure exactly which individual hit him.

Minutes later, the student returned to the porch of his home on the 800 block of North 17th Street where he was confronted by the same three men that had assaulted him outside of the bar. Words were exchanged and the spat migrated into the alley behind the victim’s house, the victim said.

By that time, three of the victim’s friends had heard the fracas and met in the alley. One of the students, a 21-year-old male, said that he wandered into the alley and came face-to-face with two suspects that were holding bricks. One of the suspects launched a brick and hit one of the students, another 21-year-old male, in the face. The suspects took off down the alley and the students chased after them, the victims said.

When the men reached the north end of the alley at Kilbourn Avenue, one of the suspects turned, pulled out a .38 caliber handgun, and pointed it directly at a student’s forehead.
Happily, the person who pulled the gun was arrested, along with one of his accomplices.

For the left, it's win at all costs. Remember Barack's buddy Bill Ayers said the only thing he regrets is not killing more people that he didn't like during the sixties and seventies. It's only the tip of the iceberg.

Is this what Oblabba meant when he told his followers to "get in people's faces" about supporting him? So much for trying to bring a civility to political discourse to end "all the divisiveness..."

Oddly enough, in watching the Weathermen Underground documentary, Bill Ayers quite loudly calls for these types of tactics as the only way to "kill the white oppressor..."

There is an historical statement which might apply: "If they want a war, let it start here and now!"

A brick or joint mob action is as dangerous as a handgun. The right, and duty, of self-defense must me enforced and encouraged.

Boy, this is pathetic. Only you, Prof. McAdams, would take some unfortunate incident such as this as a pretext for indirectly attacking Obama. I guess you only need to insinuate your sad point, because you're quite sure that your little minions will post some comments saying what you wish you could. So, let me get this all straight here.

A man is assaulted by some most likely intoxicated idiots while he himself drunkenly displays his political preferences. The fight gets way out of hand and its a terrible incident. Thank God the thugs got arrested. But let me ask you something. What in God's good name does this have to do with Obama? Why would you even frame this incident in those terms? Sure, he was holding a McCain/Palin sign. Fair enough. But if you ask me, I'd tend to assume that some morons with a gun probably aren't too politically active anyway.

So what is your point here, Prof. McAdams? That people who dislike McCain and Palin are prone to violence? Or, conversely, that people who support Obama are prone to violence? This is disgusting.
Prof. McAdams, you have clearly illustrated the desperation of conservative republicans in this election season.

I think Anon 12:52 is a little jealous that he/she wasn't there to get a few licks in.

Given the totalitarian tendencies being show by the left and the need to force everyone to think a certain way with the draconian government, it's not a stretch to figure that Obama supporters are getting violent and then justifying the assaults.

"Strenght through Change, Change through Hope, Obama Prevails!" V for Vendetta part 2 staring the fascist Obama regime.
