I'm afraid I don't know. I wasn't actually on campus. Reliable sources told me it happened, but haven't told me who did it.
What has the response from the alumni been, generally, to these kinds of outrages?
@Tancred: It's hard to know how much outrage should be directed at *this* particular outrage, since I don't know yet whether any Marquette group did it, or whether Marquette approved it (which is unlikely). I do know that many alumni have quit donating to Marquette because of the secular political correctness of the administration.
